It seems appropriate
that, after seven weeks overseas, I present a story as chilling as Taking down the most despised. Only last month in
the UK and US, I saw cops deal with the same abhorrent abuse described in our
cover story, and face the same personal impact. But a hardship shared, I
thought, even from afar, was somehow a burden lightened. |
