Police Superannuation

Board Members

he Police Superannuation Board’s role is to administer the Police Pension, Lump Sum and Occupational superannuation schemes and to ensure that members are provided with quality superannuation services. The Police Superannuation Board is not responsible for the investment of the assets of the Police Superannuation Fund.

The Superannuation Funds Management Corporation of South Australia (a separate body to the Board - Funds SA) is responsible for the management and investment of the assets (member contributions) of the Police Superannuation Fund.

Current Board Members

Mrs Dawn Garrett, Superannuation Consultant, William M Mercer. (Appointed as presiding member by the Governor on the Minister's nomination.)

Miss Kathryn Finnigan, Retired police officer. (Appointed as member by the Governor on the Minister's nomination. Deputy Member Mr G W Powell.)

Chief Superintendent Kingsley Oakley, Officer-in-Charge, Human Resource Management Branch. (Appointed as member by the Governor on the Minister's nomination. Deputy Member Superintendent M G Trueman.)

Senior Sergeant Trevor Haskell, Senior Welfare Officer, Police Welfare Section. (Appointed as member by the Governor on the nomination of the Police Association of South Australia. Deputy Member Sergeant N Pippos.)

Detective Sergeant Michael Standing, Major Crime Task Force. (Appointed as member by the Governor on the nomination of the Police Association of South Australia.)

The above board members have been appointed for a period of three years to 21 July 2002. The board generally meets once a month to consider:
