Annual Contributor Information Statement
30 June 1999

If you commenced employment with SAPOL before 4 May 1994 you are a contributory member of the Police Superannuation Scheme (Pension or Lump Sum Scheme) and also a member of the non-contributory Police Occupational Superannuation Scheme (POSS).

You will receive two annual contributor information statements in respect of the two superannuation schemes which will outline your benefits in each scheme as at 30 June 1999. In addition you will also receive a report outlining the performance of the schemes during 1998-99. It is expected that the annual contributor information statements and report will be forwarded to you in October 1999.

If you commenced employment with SAPOL after 4 May 1994 you are a member of the Southern State Superannuation Scheme (Triple S) and you will receive an annual contributor statement from the State Superannuation Office in respect of that scheme.

Member Superannuation Contributions

In line with normal practice your fortnightly superannuation contribution to the Police Superannuation Scheme has been reviewed on the basis of your superannuation salary as at 31 March 1999. Your superannuation salary is the salary of your highest rank and increment attained in a permanent position within SAPOL during your service.

Details of your highest rank and increment will be shown on your annual contributor information statement (mentioned above). Your new fortnightly superannuation contribution deduction, based on your superannuation salary as at 31 March 1999, commenced from the first pay period in July 1999 (14 July 1999). If your salary has changed (eg promotion) since 31 March 1999 your fortnightly superannuation contribution will not be affected until the next review in March 2000.

Should you require any information regarding your superannuation please contact the Police Superannuation Office on 8204 2964 or 8204 2965 (Fax 8204 2303). Group information sessions can be arranged upon request.
