Murray Bridge Visit
Five members of the Retired Police Officers' Association committee and three spouses visited Murray Bridge and entertained retired members and invited guests. They included:
- Sergeant Kevin Johnson.
- Sergeant Ninnis and his wife.
- Cynthia Burford.
- Ethel Chambers.
- Ron and Ellen Fisher.
- Bruce and Anne Gamble.
- Trevor Hausler and his wife.
- Alf and Beth Maslin.
- Kevin and Marjorie Morgan.
- Ross and Kay Prior.
- Gordon and Shirley Steer.
- Arthur Whitford.
I thank the Murray Bridge personnel for their participation. The RPOA hopes that, when it visits other areas, the same assistance will be forthcoming.
Picnic
The RPOA's annual picnic at Fort Largs Police Academy has come and gone. The attendance was not up to the usual number, which may have resulted from poor weather.
Bungaree Station
A trip to this mid-north sheep station has been arranged for March, 1999. I'm pleased to report that the bus is fully booked.
Entertainment
The Frewster Brothers entertained us at our November meeting. They were an excellent duo and entertained us musically, vocally and comically. I recommend these two for any pending party requiring entertainment.
Seasons Greetings
On behalf of the RPOA, I wish all members a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
