Zeus and Roxanne

Just one of some fabulous videos released for sale this month is Zeus and Roxanne. In the tradition of Free Willy, this new release by Roadshow can only be classed as family fun and excitement.

Zeus, a ruff-house dog, and Roxanne, the delightful dolphin, bond in a wonderful relationship that brings together two single parents and their children. Australian director, George Miller, creates an irresistible adventure suitable for the whole family.

Zeus and Roxanne stars Steve Guttenberg and Kathleen Quinlan and is available now at an RRP of $19.95. For the opportunity to win a copy of Zeus and Roxanne put your details on the back of a used envelope and address it to Mike Horsfall, Sturt Police Station (12) Zeus.

Elmo Says Boo - Sesame Street

Irrespective of the array of entertainment products for children, the Sesame Street range remains an all-time favourite.

A new title in the ABC For Kids range is Elmo Says Boo! & Do The Alphabet. The popular Elmo visits the Count’s spooky castle to have a howling good time with Julia Roberts and his Sesame Street friends, and stir up some spirited fun.

As with all the videos in this range, children will be entertained and educated. The video is available now at an RRP of $19.95. For the opportunity to win a copy of Elmo Says Boo! put your details on the back of a used envelope and address it to Mike Horsfall, Sturt Police Station (12) Elmo.

Mouse Hunt

The cinema release of MouseHunt was an undisputed success, with a box-office taking of $10 million in Australia and $65 million in the US. To be released as a video rental on September 25, MouseHunt will surely continue its success.

Down-on-their-luck brothers, Lars and Ernie don’t think much of the crumbling mansion they inherit - until they discover the estate is worth millions. Before they can cash in, they have to rid the house of its single, stubborn occupant: a tiny and tenacious mouse. What follows is an epic battle of hysterical proportions.

IN CONCERT

THE MAIN EVENT - Farnham, Newton-John and Warlow - Together at Last!

Three of Australia’s all-time great performers will appear on stage together in The Main Event. Opening on December 2, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Anthony Warlow will perform together - and individually - for over two-and-a-half hours, supported by a 40-piece orchestra and The Farnham Band.

The Main Event will feature a specially constructed triple diamond shaped hydraulic set with a spectacular lighting rig, designed to enhance the presentation of solos, duets and all three stars together.

Tickets are available now from $60 plus standard booking fee. Performances are strictly limited.

ON CD

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN - Original Soundtrack

Rumoured to be one of the most violent films that Steven Spielberg has ever made, Saving Private Ryan is the story of an American WWII soldier whose brothers have been killed. A platoon is sent in to find him, headed by a character played by Tom Hanks (many are tipping another Oscar for Hanks).

The soundtrack/score is composed by John Williams. One reviewer described it as one of the most beautiful and hauntingly tragic pieces he has heard written by Williams in recent years. As with Schindler’s List John Williams chose the Boston Symphony Orchestra to record the score.

The Police Journal has two copies of Saving Private Ryan to give away. For the opportunity to win one put your details on the back of a used envelope and address it to Mike Horsfall, Sturt Police Station (12) Private Ryan.
