Meetings
Retired Police Officers Association members attended their monthly meeting in Fenwick Hall in March. Vice-President Lex Teague took charge of proceedings, as Product Presentation Circuit displayed an array of home cleaning and food products, which members – to their delight – perused and tasted.
RPOA president, Les Morris, returned to conduct the April meeting, at which member Peter Wright entertained with the history and a display of bellringing.
Christmas in July
Owing to insufficient interest, the Christmas in July luncheon will not proceed. The RPOA thanks Rae Holloway for her efforts in promoting this event.
Regional news
The RPOA committee was disappointed with the lack of response from Riverland members to the luncheon at Waikerie. Only a small number attended.
These trips are made so that members can renew and enjoy old friendships. The committee is now considering the option of combining the Riverland and Barossa Valley areas for any future luncheons.
Diary dates
The RPOA reminds its members of the barbecue at Fort Largs scheduled for Sunday October 23, and the annual dinner for Thursday November 24.
Nomination forms for the RPOA committee for 2005-06 are now available.
Nominations must be with the secretary before the annual general meeting on July 7, 2005.
Graduations
President Morris presented the RPOA trophy to Probationary Constable Nigel Luders at Fort Largs on Wednesday, March 23, and to Probationary Constable Heath Werner on April 20.
New members
The RPOA welcomes new members John Patterson, Michael Ribarich, Rod Molony, Audrey Smallacombe, Kerry Hodgens and Margaret Aitchison.

The RPOA extends its deepest sympathy to the families of Robert Summerhayes, Ken Phillips and John Haseloff.
