Dear Andy
Please accept my resignation from the Police Association effective from December 8, 2004, which was my last day with SAPOL.
I thank the association for the help and advice.
Yours sincerely

Dear Andy
Could you please cancel my membership from the PASA following my resignation from SAPOL, effective January 12, 2005?

Dear Andy
On July 22, 1963, I walked through the gates of the Fort Largs police academy as a “new-breed” police cadet, and commenced a three-year training course – Course 6 – in September of that year. It is now time to submit my resignation from the Police Association, my last day of service being January 22, 2005.
During my career, I have served mostly in country areas, and I would encourage members to “go bush” and learn about real police work – the latest EB agreement should encourage members to take up such postings.
I have seen numerous changes over the years, both in transport – from doing metropolitan station enquiries on a motorcycle and sidecar outfit to latest model air-conditioned cars – and in the country, from HF radio and telex machines to GRN radio and computers.
Many a time in latter years, I craved for the old telex machines – they may have been slow, but they didn’t have e-mails. Morse code was still being used for interstate messages in my early days.
My only regret looking back over the years is that I didn’t keep a “diary” or other record of all the little incidents – tragic, serious and funny – and more so the police humour that makes the job unique.
Thanks to all members of the association over the years for all the hard yards they have done to get the wages and conditions where they are today.
I am going to enjoy on Kangaroo Island my retirement.

Dear Andy
I hereby resign from the Police Association of SA, my last day of service with SAPOL being January 30, 2005. I thank the association for its efforts on behalf of members, and say farewell and best wishes to the police officers, both past and present, whom I worked with – particularly those who I can call friends.

Andy
Please accept my resignation from the Police Association of South Australia, my last day of service being March 30, 2005.
I have taken up an offer in the corporate world which was too good to pass up.
I thank everyone I have worked with over the past 18 years or so, particularly all those from my last nine years in the CIB.
I especially thank you and Mark (and all those at PASA) who helped me over a little hurdle in 1998 – it showed me the value of being a PASA member.
I leave with no regrets and I am very grateful for the opportunities, experience and knowledge the job has given me. Good luck to all in the future.
Yours sincerely
