Meetings
One hundred and five Retired Police Officers Association members
attended their monthly meetings in Fenwick Hall in October and November.
Bag Promotions (October) and Chris Valaderas (November) provided entertainment.
Picnic
One hundred RPOA members and friends attended the annual picnic at
Fort Largs on October 24. Organizer for the Iron Triangle area, Kym
Boxall, arrived with a carload of members.
The Police Credit Union members, including CEO Geoff Doyle and his
wife, Kay, were the barbecue kings. Deputy Commissioner John White
and his wife, Pauline, attended on behalf of Commissioner Mal Hyde,
who was taking a spot of annual leave.
Graduation
President Les Morris presented the RPOA trophy to Probationary Constable
Mark Heslehurst at the graduation of Course 55 on October 13.
Subscriptions
Members who pay their subs annually are behind. They should make
their payments of $15.60 now, to Don O’Doherty at 3 Margaret Court,
Melrose Park, 5039. On its books, the RPOA has a total of 68 members
who have not yet paid.
Reminder
The RPOA reminds members that it will hold no meeting in January.
The first meeting for 2005 will be on Thursday February 3.

The RPOA extends its deepest sympathy to the families of Brian Earle,
