Police Credit Union

Perks of your job

Police Credit Union values the membership of police officers and, in 2000, introduced its Police Gold Advantage (PGA) benefit scheme. PGA provided both serving and retired officers a range of exclusive additional benefits, including free direct debits, discounts on overdraft, and personal loan interest rates plus a $10 withdrawal transaction fee rebate.

The scheme has been very well supported by police officers and, to reward their support and loyalty, PCU is pleased to announce its new Advantage programme. Advantage incorporates the key benefits of the PGA scheme and provides a range of new and additional benefits. All existing PGA members automatically receive the new Advantage benefits, with all current employees serving in a SAPOL department now eligible to join.

The full benefits of the new Advantage programme are:

  • Advantage Home Loan – exclusive low variable-rate home loan with an interest rate of 6.45% per annum and a comparison rate of 6.48% per annum.
  • No application fee on selected home loans.*
  • Personal Loans and Overdrafts – no application fee on loans of $5,000 or more.**
  • Term Deposits – earn an additional 0.15% per annum interest above the published rates.**
  • Overdrafts – reduced by 4.50% per annum below our standard overdraft facility rate.
  • Insurance – 10% discounts on insurance premiums.***
  • Transactions – Automatic “Member Advance” status with higher monthly rebates on selected withdrawals.
  • Priority Service – your loan applications receive “Priority” approvals.
  • Free direct debits.

Credit Union Christmas Pageant

It’s almost that time of year again. On Saturday November 13, 2004, the streets of Adelaide will come alive as the Credit Union Christmas Pageant weaves its magic through the city. Departing from the corner of King William Street and South Terrace at 9:50am, the colourful and exciting parade will wind its way through the city streets and conclude at the landing stage in front of Adelaide Central Plaza on North Terrace at around 11:30am.

Watching Father Christmas arrive in Adelaide is a South Australian tradition. The pageant attracts a crowd of more than 400,000 people, so it’s a good idea to arrive early to get a good position for yourself and the kids.

This year Police Credit Union has been allocated some fantastic floats, with a number of new or recently revamped floats included in our selection. Come along and support the Police Credit Union staff and their families as they participate in this unique and exciting event. Look out for the floats belonging to the Credit Union – Rapunzel, Bay Botch Surf Club, Aladdin, and Puss in Boots, to name a few. You might see someone you know.

Have a wonderful day enjoying the magic of Christmas arriving in Adelaide.
