Star Trek: Elite Force
II
Platform: PC
Star Trek: Elite Force II is a worthy successor to the
first Elite Force game.
This new game offers not only good phaser-powered 3D combat
with a variety of familiar enemies, but also some new sophisticated features
and various puzzles.
In addition to single-player campaigns, there are multiplayer
modes, including Action Hero (one player against all the rest), Bomb Diffusion
(two teams trying to destroy each others base), Capture the Flag and
Disintegration.
To recreate an authentic Trekkie atmosphere, the gameplay is
interspersed with scripted sequences.
In this game, the elite Hazard Team from the Star Trek:
Voyager television series is recruited for new duties by none other than
the USS Enterprises Captain Jean-Luc Picard (voice-over courtesy
of Patrick Stewart) and sent to investigate the fate of a derelict spacecraft,
the USS Dallas.

Once aboard, the team finds that the gravity has been
switched off, corpses are floating everywhere, and there is a huge gash in the
ships hull.
Another mission sees you responding to a distress call from a
space station belonging to an alien race called the Attrexians. Most of the
Dallas crew have beamed aboard her. Your job is to dock in the space
stations shuttle bay while fending off attacks from hostile
aliens.
