Road rides
Mannum
Club members braved inclement weather to take a road ride from
Adelaide, through the scenic hills, and onto Mannum in early April. Despite the
conditions, they returned unscathed.
Delamere
Matt Nairn led a group down south on the annual Delamere ride
in early May. All saw the sights and enjoyed great riding. Members relish the
Delamere ride, which is one of the best around. In light of recent unsuitable
weather, more group rides should be scheduled for September.
Dirt rides
Truro
A group of dirt-riders gathered for a few days ride
around Truro, where they took in some 24-hour trial tracks in early May. Riders
managed to negotiate some extremely tight and gnarly tracks through a great
section of creek. The president, on his XR650, got himself stuck at the top of
a ridge, but managed not to take a tumble.

Peter Stevens Ride Day
The club helped run the Peter Stevens Ride Day at the Monarto
track near Murray Bridge on May 11. The clubs sponsor has this annual
ride day for all its customers and prospective new-bike buyers. More than 100
turned out and tested several of the bikes taken up by Peter Stevens.
Coorong
Riders took the annual Coorong trip over the June long
weekend, when they savoured the challenge of the massive sand hills around the
campsite and down toward Kingston.
Coonalpyn
At the popular Coonalpyn camp-away in early July, riders
turned out to test the rutted sand tracks, long trails and hills this area has
to offer.
Coming events
Great rides planned for the next few months include Geranium
and the annual big dirt-riding weekend at the Big Desert National Park, via
Pinnaroo.
