Police Credit Union

Reach your savings goal quickly and easily

Police Credit Union has a range of savings accounts that are designed for members to achieve their savings goals more quickly with competitive interest rates and, most important, no account-keeping fees.

Raising your interest

Police Credit Union’s Interest Raiser account is specifically designed to reward the disciplined saver. You can reach your savings goal quickly and easily. All you have to do is maintain your balance above $500, with a minimum deposit of $100 per month and no withdrawals. Once these criteria have been met, our Interest Raiser account will reward you with an interest bonus of 3% p.a. above the applicable tier.

The Interest Raiser account is the ideal account to open if you wish to save for a purpose such as a house deposit, overseas holiday, ski boat, shares or any thing else your heart desires. Set yourself an amount to save and, with the added incentive of earning a high rate of interest, the Interest Raiser can help you achieve your goal. With as little as $50 per fortnight deposited into the account, direct from your salary, within 12 months you will have saved $1,300 plus interest! Interest is calculated and paid monthly which increases your yield, plus the amount of interest you can earn increases as your balance increases! What better incentive do you need to start saving?

Payroll deductions can be made direct to the account, and your funds are available on call. With careful saving, together with interest credited to your account monthly, you can watch your money grow.

Have a Merry Christmas

Did you realize that Christmas is only five months away? Do you leave your Christmas shopping until the last minute, or are you still paying off last Christmas? Police Credit Union can help to make your next Christmas a whole lot merrier.

It’s not too late to open a Christmas Club account with Police Credit Union, which will ensure you have money for next Christmas without getting into debt.

A Christmas Club account allows you to direct as little or as much money into the account as you like and as often as you like with the knowledge that prior to Christmas you are able to access the funds to help with all those end-of-year expenses. With around 12 pays left until Christmas, if you put aside $30 per fortnight, you would have saved $360 plus interest by mid-December.

Make budgeting easy

Along with the Interest Raiser and Christmas Club accounts to help you achieve your savings goal, Police Credit Union also provides a savings account to make your day-to-day budgeting easy. The Budget Savings Account gives you another savings account with at-call access but is separate from your everyday spending money.

The Budget Savings Account is the perfect account to budget for bills. With Cheque Book, Visa, Redicard, Bpay, giroPOST, Internet and Direct Debit access, you have the convenience of being able to pay bills on the spot. As you can see, the Budget Savings Account really does make budgeting easy.
