Meeting
Forty-six Retired Police Officers Association members
attended their monthly meeting in the Police Club dining room in early April.
President Les Morris apologized for any inconvenience the switch from the usual
venue (Fenwick Hall) might have caused. The clubs new caterers, Heather
and Greg, offered their willing and cheerful co-operation for the meeting.
Guest speaker Kevin Fielke addressed the gathering about his
role as an active member of the Victim Support Service.
Trips
Vice-president Lex Teague was pleased with the response from
RPOA members who enjoyed a recent day trip to Strathalbyn, Goolwa and Hindmarsh
Island. Members revelled in a tour of the newly constructed marina and, later,
enjoyed lunch in Victor Harbor. Lex plans more such trips for the future.

Gibson with the RPOA trophy at the graduation of Course 48 at Fort Largs on
April 2.
Regional news
RPOA representative and co-ordinator for the Kadina region,
Dennis Ireland, has, owing to ill health, relinquished his position for that
area. But fellow RPOA member, Kym Boxall, has volunteered to take over the
reins. The organization is grateful to Kym for taking over and knows his
efforts will greatly benefit those in his area.
