Meeting

Sixty-two Retired Police Officers Association members attended their monthly meeting in Fenwick Hall in early March. RPOA president, Les Morris, welcomed not only the members but also retired police officer, Ken Taylor, from Fife, Scotland, and Brenton Sullivan from the Riverland.

Talented glassblower, Kath Thurmer, provided entertainment. She not only made some beautiful pieces, but also informed members on the history of glassblowing. The number of members who surrounded her table after her demonstration indicated just what a great success the entertainment had been.

Trips

RPOA vice-president, Lex Teague, had his faith restored when vacancies for the March 18 bus trip were filled.

Port Augusta region

Members who received invitations to the RPOA regional visit – scheduled for May 15 – and plan to attend should reply as soon as possible so arrangements can be finalized.
