Meeting
Fifty-seven Retired Police Officers Association members attended their monthly meeting in Fenwick Hall on November 7. RPOA president, Les Morris, welcomed the members before entertainer, Peter Linney, provided a variety of songs and anecdotes.
Picnic
A crowd of 140 attended the RPOA annual picnic at Fort Largs on Sunday October 27. Those who went along agreed it was a great event. But no function succeeds without the efforts of organizers and a tireless crew.
The RPOA is grateful to Raelene Holloway, the PCU chefs, Trevor Bakes for beverages, the salad team in the kitchen, Wayne and Hannah Morris, and the entertainment provided by the 20 members of the PCU choir. The RPOA also extends its gratitude to Chief Supt John Minagall for use of the academy as the picnic venue.
Reminder
The RPOA will hold no meeting on January 3, 2003. Only the committee will meet on that day at 11am.
Fees
Do you have a PCU account and pay your RPOA fees annually? If you do, you could help the RPOA by requesting the PCU to deduct your fortnightly fee of 60 cents from your account. This will eliminate the need to send out annual reminders and maintain a current membership list.
The RPOA requests those members who have not paid to do so as soon as possible.
Greetings
To one and all, the RPOA committee extends Christmas greetings and a healthy New Year.
