Police Club

Thanks from Adelaide/Hindley St members

The Police Club is yours, as I so often mention in the Police Club columns. And, the club can cater to YOUR needs, as a letter from Adelaide patrol officer, Darren Mulders, recently highlighted. In it, he thanked – on behalf of his Adelaide/Hindley St colleagues – chef, Tony, and staff for catering for their post-nightshift breakfast. The club always appreciates feedback and is grateful to Darren for his letter.

Pay night function – July 27

What a good night at the club was the July 27 pay night function. Lots of familiar faces appeared and many enjoyed the music and atmosphere. There will be more to come.

Coming pay night function – September 18

Set Wednesday September 18 aside in your diary for another club pay night function.

There will be a promotion for UDL Fusion with lots of give-aways and discounts on all RTD (Ready To Drink) UDL products.

The normal discounts on beer and ales will apply, too. That’s all the more reason to drop in.

See you there.

Farewell Mick

Farewell to Mick Standen, who retired recently.

Mick was a Police Club stalwart. The club wishes him the best for his well earned retirement.

The Mulders letter

Dear Merge

On behalf of team 5, Adelaide, I would like to convey our appreciation to the Police Club, in particular to Tony and his kitchen staff for catering to our various requests.

As you are aware, the club has stopped serving breakfast on Friday mornings after nightshift due to poor patronage. However, Tony was more than happy to cook breakfast (which was very well attended) for Adelaide and Hindley St patrols at the end of our last nightshift.

We will be making this a regular event for our teams. It would be excellent to see even more members from other areas using “our Police Club” after nightshift and joining us for breakfast and a few snappy ones.
