Meeting
Fifty-six Retired Police Officers Association members attended their monthly meeting in Fenwick Hall in April. President Les Morris welcomed the members, who were entertained with amusing anecdotes and poetry by talented performer, Wendy Gould.
Kadina meeting
Several committee members and their spouses attended a luncheon at Kadina on March 21. Fifty-six retirees enjoyed a day socializing with members from the old Mid-North area.
The highlight of the luncheon was President Morriss presentation of life memberships to Maureen Dwyer and the events organizer, Dennis Ireland. In organizing social meetings with members from the local area at three-month intervals, Dennis and his wife, Jeanette, have been stalwarts. They maintained great interest as organizers after the city committee took to the country regions five years ago.
The oldest enthusiasts at the luncheon were Ron Arney and Ern Sparrow. Memories and stories abounded on the day.
Ray Hanel proposed a vote of appreciation for the effort of the city committee in attending.
To round off a wonderful day of fellowship, a barbecue was held in the park in the evening.
President Morris reminds country members that, when they find themselves in the city with spare time on the first Thursday of any month, they would be most welcome at RPOA meetings, which begin at 2pm.
Graduation
A graduation for course 39 was held on Wednesday, March 27. President Morris presented the RPOA trophy to Probationary Constable Nicole Pedemonte.

The RPOA welcomes Michael Symonds as a new member.
