Police Credit Union members will soon benefit from an exciting new insurance agency relationship with CGU Insurance.
In the past, PCU Insurance Brokers compared different insurers policies to get the best deal possible. However, PCUs combined member strength has now made it possible for the credit union to negotiate a special deal directly with CGU.
Members and other clients who have placed their insurance through PCU Insurance Brokers will soon be invited to insure with CGU when their policy is due for renewal. If these members choose to insure under this arrangement with CGU, CGU guarantees that the total amount members will pay for the coming year will be no more than they paid for the last year (except for any increase in government charges). Of course, this is provided that the policyholder has not had an at-fault motor accident and does not wish to significantly change insurance cover.
As an agent for CGU, Police Credit Union will soon be able to offer all members a wide range of benefits, including:
Special discount member rates.
Pay-by-the-month premiums at no extra cost.
Access to a wide range of quality insurance options.
Prompt and efficient local claims service.
The security of one of Australias largest general insurers.
Low-kilometre and nominated-driver discounts for motor insurance.
24-hour access to CGUs Home Support line for home insurance customers. From February 18, 2002, all PCU branches will have a full-time insurance specialist to assist members with all aspects of their insurance from taking out a new policy, making changes to an existing one, getting a quote, or simply discussing their insurance needs.
CGU is one of Australias largest general insurers. It has been protecting Australians for more than 130 years, and now insures more than a million homes and over 500,000 privately owned motor vehicles. Globally, CGU is backed by the strength of CGNU, one of the worlds top 10 insurance groups, with assets under management of more than $A500 billion.
