Format: PlayStation 2This new title boasts some astonishing technical innovations and a graphical performance, reminiscent of an animated feature film.
Developed by Naughty Dog the team behind the phenomenally successful Crash Bandicoot series this new title should appeal to hardcore fans and casual gamers alike.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy concerns the exploits of Jak and his offbeat sidekick, Daxter.
Daxter is transformed into a weasel-like rodent after falling into a huge vat of dark sludge.
The two of you set off together in search of a sage, Gol Acheron, who is reputed to understand the naturally occurring energy forces of Eco that control the land and may be able to help Daxter regain human form.
But soon you find yourself mixed up in a plot that threatens to destroy the land as you know it.
In the course of your quest, you get to explore a colourful and exquisitely detailed world, including picturesque coastline, mountain tops, lush vegetation, colourful creatures and ever-changing weather conditions.
Jak and Daxter combines an absorbing storyline, unique gameplay mechanics, technological innovations, a cast of colourful characters and a humorous script all in a stunning graphic environment.
Enemies come after you and continue their pursuit until you defeat them. Multiple enemy attacks make the game even more challenging.
There are subtle sub-plots to the game as each of the tasks are linked together, interacting with one another and having a direct effect on others that follow.
Monsters, Inc. Scare Island

Monsters, Inc. Scare Island is a fun-packed 3D action/adventure video game, based on the blockbuster Disney/Pixar movie Monsters, Inc., and aimed at children aged 6 10.
Available on both PlayStations 1 and 2, the game offers hours of fun and adventure, and is packed with exciting gameplay, colourful graphics and funny character animations.
Features include:
Choice of two main characters the gentle giant Sulley and the feisty, quick-witted one-eyed ball of a monster, Mike each with his own special moves and abilities. Appearances by many of the movies major characters, including Randall Boggs, Henry J. Waternoose, Roz and Flint.

Syphon Filter 3
Format: PlayStation 1One of the highest-rating action adventure titles returns on PlayStation for the third instalment of a thrilling, perilous and brutal quest to discover the truth behind the Syphon Filter virus.
Syphon Filter 3 draws players into an absorbing, labyrinthine plot, in which two main characters, Gabe Logan and Lian Xing, are called before a US Senate sub-committee to testify against the illegal activities of their former employers, the Agency.
Having discovered to their horror last time that the Agency had sold them out and was actively involved in the spread of the deadly Syphon Filter virus, they travel the world, eliminating remaining rogue Agency employees and tying up loose ends in their search for the mysterious originator of the foul conspiracy, the Man in the Shadows.
The action takes you to the four corners of the globe.
Your enemies are more dangerous than ever. They spy on you, can often get back on their feet after you thought youd finished them off, and can attack you from behind when least expected.
Fortunately, you are equipped with an impressive array of new weapons and gadgets, including a heartbeat sensor to spot enemies even when you cant see or hear them, and a gizmo that allows you to see through walls which is especially useful when used in conjunction with assault rifles so powerful that they can shoot through walls.
