Stronghold
This ingenious strategy game will appeal to fans of the Age of Empires and Lords of the Realm.
This game is set during medieval times, when the castle was very much the military centrepiece.
Your task is to build the sort of castle to suit the terrain youre defending, as well as the type of enemy you face.
You are responsible for developing small specialist armies with very specific battlefield capabilities. There are knights, archers, engineers and spearmen, each with their strengths and weaknesses, which you have to know how to deploy most effectively.
To engage in battle, you can dig ditches, build archery towers and siege equipment, or even use your engineers to pour boiling oil from the battlements down onto the enemy.
The game throngs with medieval characters, such as peasants, blacksmiths and cart-wheeling jesters.
One of your tasks is not only to support your villagers and to defend them from their enemies, but to keep law and order. You can be a kind or a harsh ruler. Should you desire, you have the power to put troublesome peasants in the stocks or even send them to the gallows.
Disneys Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Hot on the heals of Disneys recent animated feature, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, comes a 3D action adventure of the same name.
A team of five explorers sets off on a perilous expedition, travelling far beneath the ocean floor and deep into the Earths core in search of the lost city of Atlantis.
Soon they find themselves in a land of mystery, guarded by mythical monsters, including the vicious sea-dwelling Leviathan.
But the adventure doesnt stop there. One explorer - confronted by the riches he finds in Atlantis - is overcome by ambition and greed, which threaten to destroy the ancient empire.
Unwilling to go along with his plan, the remaining four join forces with Kida the Atlantean princess, to save the city from a cataclysmic volcanic eruption and certain destruction.
The action and excitement take place in a 3D world, using high-quality footage from the movie.
You can play as five different characters from the movie, including the lead character, Milo Thatch.
Taking full control of the teams fate, you control not one, but five different adventures. Drawing on the skills of each character, youll find yourself using a wide array of gadgets and mysterious objects, and also pilot fleets of exotic Atlantean air and sea vehicles for increasingly dangerous challenges.
