Police Journal funds major donation |
|
The Police Association of SA has again shown its care for the communitys less fortunate. Known for generosity toward worthy causes, the association - through its president, Peter Alexander - presented a $5,000 cheque to the Sunday Mail Blanket Appeal at the July Police Club luncheon.
Sunday Mail journalist, David Nankervis, accepted the donation - funded by the Police Journal - on the appeals behalf.
Police Association secretary, Andy Dunn, said the appeal was a credit to the Sunday Mail. The association is pleased to offer its donation and hopes that those most in need benefit from it, he said.
The Police Journal last funded a PASA donation through the production of a calendar for the Spinal Research Fund of Australia in 2000. On that occasion, it raised $5,155, which Mr Alexander presented to the funds executive officer, Neil Sachse, earlier this year.
Donations by cheque or money order can be sent to: The Sunday Mail Blanket Appeal, GPO Box 2298, Adelaide 5001.
