AGM
Forty-three Retired Police Officers Association members attended their annual general meeting at Fenwick Hall on July 5, despite inclement weather.
Reports were received from Les Morris (president), Ken Phillips (treasurer) and Tom Zacher (welfare officer).
That nominations for positions on the RPOA committee were not forthcoming from the floor was disappointing. Members re-elected unopposed were: Les Morris (president), Lex Teague (vice-president), Shirley Phillips (secretary), Ken Phillips (treasurer), Ray Williams (assistant secretary), Tom Zacher (welfare officer).
Members who remain as committee members are: Colin Beames, Joyce Beames, Allan Dwyer, Maureen Dwyer, Rob Thompson and Rae Holloway.
Country visit
The luncheon for country members held at Victor Harbor was a great success. Fifty-three members and wives attended and praised this ongoing event, which country members no doubt appreciate.
