Thirteen Days
For 13 extraordinary days in October 1962, the world stood on the brink of an unthinkable catastrophe. Across the globe, people anxiously awaited the outcome of a harrowing political, diplomatic and military confrontation that threatened to end in an apocalyptic nuclear exchange between the US and the Soviet Union.
In Thirteen Days, the power and peril of the American presidency is dramatically explored by director Roger Donaldson, who captures the urgency, suspense and paralyzing chaos of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The alarming escalation of events during those fateful days brought to the fore such public figures as Robert McNamara, Adlai Stevenson, Theodore Sorenson, Andrei Gromyko, Anatoly Dobrynin, McGeorge Bundy, Dean Acheson, Dean Rusk, and General Curtis LeMay. Many others politicians, diplomats and soldiers were on the front line of the showdown. In Thirteen Days, we see all of these people and, above all, President John F. Kennedy and his brother Bobby through the eyes of a trusted presidential aide and confidante, Kenneth P. ODonnell (Kevin Costner).
The film features a memorable ensemble, including Kevin Costner as Kenny ODonnell, Bruce Greenwood as John F. Kennedy, Steven Culp as Robert F. Kennedy, Dylan Baker as Robert McNamara, Michael Fairman as Adlai Stevenson, Henry Strozier as Dean Rusk, Frank Wood as McGeorge Bundy and Kevin Conway as General Curtis Lemay.

15 Minutes
Never before in history have fame and the law been so closely, and so dangerously, aligned. With todays insatiable demand for high-octane television news, everyone from criminals and cops to lawyers and politicians has joined the ranks of attention-grabbing celebrities. Everyone from thieving low-lives to the Presidents lawyers vies for a shot at the limelight.

We might fear crime, tragedy and chaos, but in todays world, they bring ratings, money and power.
So, just how far will societys most desperate people go in order to get their fifteen minutes? And just how willing is the public to watch? These questions hurtle to the fore in John Herzfelds smart, searing thriller, 15 Minutes, which brings the edge-of-your-seat thriller into the in-your-face Media Age.
At the centre of 15 Minutes is a New York City double murder that must be solved. This is the thriller as seen through an eye-popping new lens that of the medias hunt for shocking imagery, regardless of the cost. As the cops chase the murderers in 15 Minutes, the media chases the cops, and the whole thing fuels an escalating firestorm.
Staring alongside two-time Academy Award-winner, Robert De Niro, is Kelsey Grammer, Melina Kanakaredes, Avery Brooks and Karel Roden.
