Meeting

Fifty-five Retired Police Officers Association members attended their monthly meeting in the PASA building on March 1. This figure (55) exceeded that of the previous month.

General business

The RPOA has extended a warm welcome to its new members. They include: Rodney Moloney, Barry Lugg, Phillip Davis, Geoff Jones, David Hearne, Mike Fuller Jack Graham and Kevin Starks.

The RPOA encourages new members to attend monthly meetings at 2pm on the first Thursday of every month in Fenwick Hall. This is an opportunity to reacquaint oneself with old friends and, at the same time, make new ones. Members’ partners are welcome.

Contacts

Anyone who experiences difficulty in contacting RPOA members can write to the association secretary for information, and include a self-addressed envelope. For security reasons, the RPOA must know to whom it is supplying this sensitive information.

Entertainment

Peter Linney entertained RPOA members at their most recent meeting. His performance was a thoroughly enjoyable part of the “get-together”. Allan Dwyer thanked Mr Linney for his contribution.

Office bearers

The RPOA’s annual general meeting is scheduled for July. Those interested in positions on the RPOA committee or nominating a candidate should seek nomination forms from the secretary.

Tours

RPOA members should remember that the Monarto bus trip is scheduled for May 24 and costs $30 per head (to be paid at the May 3 meeting). The Burra trip is scheduled for August 9 and costs $30 per head (to be paid before August 2).
