PASA delegate elections
The results of the recent elections conducted under the rules of the organization have been distributed per Police Association newsletter 01/01. I thank those members who nominated and were successful in their respective branches.
Unfortunately, a number of vacancies remain within the structure. Delegates are elected for a two-year term, and a continual problem faced by the association is that many vacancies remain after conducting elections.
Those positions currently vacant are:
Conference Delegates
Crime Command Branch 4 positions Hills-Murray LSA Branch 1 position Human Resource Management Branch 2 positions Metro North Branch 2 positions Metro South Branch 2 positions Public Affairs Branch 1 position Officers Branch 1 position Workplace Delegates
Adelaide Investigation Northern Traffic Drug and Organised Crime Salisbury Elizabeth Investigation Millicent Forensic Services Adelaide Patrols Holden Hill Investigation Glenelg Intelligence Support Henley Beach Licensing and Gaming Hindley Street Serious Fraud Parks South Coast Investigation Marla Sturt Investigation Comcen Victims of Crime Planning Adelaide Hills Prosecution Services Murray Bridge STAR Division Tailem Bend Transit Police Academy ACB Corporate Services Community Affairs Gawler Berri Holden Hill Patrols Waikerie The rules of the Police Association require that the vacant conference delegate positions will be the subject of election. This is currently being negotiated with the Australian Electoral Commission.
The vacant workplace delegate positions can be filled by appointment ratified by the PASA committee of management. Members who wish to nominate for vacant workplace delegate positions should, in writing, notify the Police Association secretary of their desire to nominate for the position.
Anyone with queries regarding their nomination should call me direct on 8212 3055.
