PASAs Vision
The Police Association has a clearly defined vision through which it intends to ensure its immediate and long-term successes. The essentials of this vision amount to a commitment to see that:
- PASA members are provided the wages and working conditions they need and deserve.
- Policing enjoys public respect, support and recognition of its unequaled contribution to community safety.
- The organization secures long-term viability through the responsible management of its resources and assets.
- PASA members have access to a comprehensive range of services that reflect their importance, as well as their professional and personal needs.
To achieve its vision, the association executive has identified five areas in which it must achieve results. They are:
- Lobbying and influencing - to increase the associations capacity to lobby and influence to ensure that key decision-makers appreciate members needs and concerns.
- Marketing and communication - to develop a marketing and communication plan that allows the review and promotion of services, and enhances association members profile, reputation and esteem.
- Financial management - to ensure the associations long-term financial independence and commercial sustainability through the review of operations.
- Industrial and legal services - to extend the range of industrial and legal services that cater to members high-priority needs.
- Organizational development - to develop further the association culture, structure, professional leadership, and management style so that they parallel members needs.
The Police Association can - and will - achieve this vision through the full commitment of the whole of its membership.
